The 58 of 137 of graduates Cheongju University ROTC donated 15 million won after they met President Cha on June 11th The 52 graduates of ROTC who will be commissioned into second lieutenant spontaneously donated to the development fund for their junior classmates.
Graduates of ROTC have donated to this fund for four years since 2017. President Cha said “Thanks to their annual donation, Cheongju University also won’t have to support the ROTC”
Jeon kyu ho, the head of ROTC said: “The donation to the development fund for younger generation is set as a tradition”.
An athletic club of Cheongju University was selected for the ‘2020 university athletic club evaluation and support project’. This project is supported by the university which maintain a fixed number of athletic clubs. Cheongju University supports 112.45 millions won for student clubs, which is the most support in Chungbuk province.
The project fee, which is supported this year, will be used to foster and support the athletic club, and used for training fees, entrance fees for athletic competitions, and improving overall competitiveness of the university.
Cheongju University athletic clubs promotes talented people in 6 events: soccer, taekwondo, judo, fencing, shooting, table tennis.
The soccer team won the 2019 U-league with an undefeated record (two years in a row) and the Judo team won the 2019 Fall national judo competition, and they produced Olympic members of the national team.
